Here at Hooligan Designs our focus is on originality and quality. By working alongside a professional saddle maker, I've learned how to make bronc halters the right way, producing a quality product that will last. My focus is on original designs, making halters that will stand out from the rest. The quality shows right down to the hardware, conchos, and attention to detail. Hardware and spots are only stainless steel and the crystals we use are only Swarovski and are in a rim set (not a rivet).
Putting your horses comfort is also always a first priority, so you will see we turn the bit ends OUT, instead of in. This is strictly personal choice, as I like to keep the comfort of the horse foremost, and don't like the tabs rubbing his face. Bit ends are typically built with strings, as we find conchos holding the bit on the headstall are a major safety factor. We also try and not put the concho screw back against the horse (in our chilly winters, its possible these screws will burn your horse if they are cold enough), as all our products are lined with quality latigo leather. However, in certain situations, you may find screw backs showing... We lock-tite our screws, so you won't have the trouble of conchos falling off.
Our Swarovski crystal conchos are made with glue that will withstand our frequent sub-zero temperatures. Most bling conchos made in other countries will lose their crystals, as the glue used is NOT rated for the cold winters we have here. Most glue will crack and let go at temps below 0 degrees (celcius). So to protect your investment, we've found a glue that will hold up when the temps drop.
